And yes, it's not uncommon for there to be chords from another key thrown into a song likeyour first one. It's called modulation, and essentially, it's taking a chord that would normally be in that key, like Em, and turning it into a different chord that is not in the same key, like E major. If you want a cool way to go into a modulated chord, try using dimished chords in passing. It sounds kick ass.
